Maharashtra: One dies after explosion rips through chemical factory in Tarapur

A security guard was killed and several people were injured on Thursday night after an explosion in a chemical factory at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation area in Tarapur town The Indian Express reported. The explosion occurred around 11.10 pm when a boiler containing industrial solvent in a chemical factory Novaphene Specialties Private Limited reportedly burst under high temperature and pressure. The fire then spread to four other factories nearby.
